Inexpensive Table Decorations For A 95th Birthday Party ~ You Don't Have To Go Broke For Table Decorations

I was ask to make 14 table decorations for a Birthday Party.  The party was for a 95 year old man...... what in the world could I come up with that didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

These would be great for a graduation party if you got the ones with the grad hats on.

I found the pieces below at a yard sale.  I ended up paying $3 for 18 of them.  Not Bad!!

So,  what can I do to make them more personal for a 95 year old?   I can tell you, I fretted over this on.

Below, is what I came up with.  I think it still can use something... but so far, this is what I got.

Zucchini Pineapple Nut Bread

3 Eggs beaten
1 c Oil
2 c Xylitol
2 ts Vanilla
2 c Zucchini unpeeled and
1 c Crushed Unsweetened Pineapple drained
3 c Flour
2 ts Baking Soda
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 ts Baking Powder
1 1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 c Chopped Pecans
Preheat oven to 350. Mix eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla together. Add the zucchini and pineapple. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the zucchini mixture, mixing well. Add nuts and mix well. Pour into 2 (9x5) greased and floured loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes in the pans and then turn on wire racks
